In the final days leading up to the grand opening of the beautiful fresco covering the interior of the Torreon at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, ARTS Lab team members were invited to visit with artist Frederico Vigil and to view his astounding work of art. Mr. Vigil graciously explained his intent, technique and experiences in his many years of work on the project. We were also treated to a closer look at the upper regions from the Genie lift he used to do the work. He also invited Harlan, little grandson of ARTS Lab’s Hue Walker, to draw with his markers! Mr. Vigil is profoundly dedicated to the transmission of cultural treasure to the upcoming generations.
