PROPOSALS FOR NEW INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH-BASED WORK
ARTS Lab is pleased to announce a call for proposals for new interdisciplinary research-based work to commence in Spring 2009.
In the development of your proposal please consider the following:
PROJECT / PRODUCTION RESOURCES
Staff
ARTS Lab allots .10 FTE, (half a day each week) for each of its 2 full-time multimedia staff members to support approved projects.
Facilities and Fees at the Garage
ARTS Lab core facilities are typically free of charge to UNM students, staff and faculty with approved projects on a space/time available basis. Non-UNM affiliates require external funding to cover facility fees.
Equipment
Key equipment at the Garage includes a block box studio with computer-controlled lighting, a large green screen area, a Vicon motion capture system, and a six projector fulldome. Most of ARTS Lab's equipment must remain in-house to support ongoing work.
Supplies
Project proposals should ensure they account for expendable supplies in their budgets.
PROJECT FUNDING
We recognize that not all projects require funding to support the production of new research-only some projects require external support. In such cases ARTS Lab may work with a project team in the pursuit of funding. Please note, however, that ARTS Lab does not provide grant-writing services.
ARTS Lab is a self-funded organization. Therefore, at this time we are unable offer fiscal support for projects. We strongly encourage our partners to seek external funding to support their interaction with the ARTS Lab.
