ARTSLab recently teamed up with the Fold Lab Collective for a cozy evening inspired by the worlds of Studio Ghibli. The student-led event brought together paper folding, projection art, music, boba, and plenty of soot sprites for a night that felt equal parts workshop and hangout.

Students spent their time creating origami pieces, learning new folding techniques, and hanging out with fellow enthusiasts of handmade items. While the space was filled with scenes inspired by Ghibli films, the lab featured origami displays and folding stations that made the night feel creative, immersive, and a little nostalgic.

One of the best parts of the night was seeing students from different majors and backgrounds come together over something as simple as paper folding. Events like this are a reminder that creativity can be both collaborative and approachable, whether you’re learning a new technique for the first time or just showing up to make something fun with other people.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped bring a little bit of Ghibli magic to ARTSLab.
