We had the pleasure of hosting the Traditions of Endurance conference here at ARTSLab on March 31, 2023. UNM students Jordan Martinez and Travis Thompson, studying under the guidance of Ian Wallace, organized this gathering of indigenous community leaders to discuss research methods. ARTSLab Associate Director Stewart Copeland and his Augmented Spaces class created an interactive installation to illustrate some of the newest methods of biometric data visualization. Additional speakers shared valuable knowledge, and we were all treated to a mesmerizing hoop dance by ShanDien Sonwai LaRance.
