On October 15, 2024, the University of New Mexico will begin construction on the Center for Collaborative Art & Technology.

Designed by the internationally acclaimed architecture firm, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, CCAT will be the new home of ARTSLab.

The relocation of ARTSLab to CCAT will enable significant growth, with the studio’s square footage doubling to accommodate an LED wall for XR production and multi-media performance. ARTSLab’s new home at CCAT will also feature a state-of-the-art fabrication facility that will support the lab’s growing suite of research equipment.

Positioned at the heart of UNM’s campus, CCAT will make ARTSLab easily accessible for students and faculty, while its prime location on historic Route 66 enhances access for community members attending exhibitions, performances, and public events.
