The Immersive Tech Breakfast at UNM’s ARTSLab on November 22 was something truly special! It was a morning filled with brilliant minds, groundbreaking technology, and the kind of energy that sparks real change.
From the moment the event began at 9:00 a.m., the room was alive with curiosity and creativity. AR/VR innovators, educators, and industry leaders came together to explore the future of immersive technology right here in New Mexico. The highlight—the Varjo XR-4 Headset demo presented by Reynaldo Zabala from Channel XR showed us firsthand just how far extended reality has come. It was like stepping into the future!
We also got an inside look at the Community Immersive Technology Hub, a powerful initiative designed to bring more opportunities and resources to this ever-growing field. In the true spirit of collaboration, attendees were able to share their thoughts on free training opportunities coming in 2025.
